Bay Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes presents the 4th Annual Pro & College Baseball Youth Challenge. This baseball day clinic, designed for youth ages 8-14, will provide youngsters an opportunity to gain helpful tips from top level professional and collegiate baseball student-athletes representing a variety of well respected universities such as: Cal, USF, Stanford, San Jose State and Santa Clara University
During this challenge young athletes will be taught basic fundamentals of baseball; hitting, pitching, defense, base running and mental approach will be covered. Just before the end of the clinic kids will participate in a baseball challenge competition. Lunch and other prizes will be given.
Professional baseball players from the following organizations have committed to attend the baseball challenge: San Francisco Giants, Oakland A’s, Pittsburgh Pirates, San Diego Padres & Chicago White Sox. Special Guest- Tye Waller (Bench Coach for the Oakland A’s) will be teaching kids about baseball and also share an inspirational message with the kids.
To wrap up the challenge, a panel of professional and college athletes will be interviewed and a designated time for questions and answers will be provided. Kids will have a unique opportunity to hear how the lives of these role models have been impacted on and off the field, inspiring youngsters to pursue their dreams and live a life of excellence.
